21DSD: days 3&4

Day three went great food-wise. It was the start of a cold and all of the bloating that brought me down in comfort.
I are the same foods as Day Two for the most part.
Bacon and eggs for breakfast. Salad for lunch. Sausage in Pepper for dinner. I opted for my banana instead of the applesauce and I had tea instead of coffee and “hot cocoa”.

Day Four: I woke up feeling pretty crummy, but not quite bad enough to skip my midterm (and pay for a doctor visit to be able to make it up…) I’m incredibly bloated still. It hurts to swallow and there is pressure in my ears.
Breakfast was egg muffins – egg, spinach and bacon, baked in a muffin tray. Lunch was my salad.  Dinner was a bag of frozen veggies that was steamed.

It’s a quarter to 8 now and I still feel pretty crummy. I left work a half hour early to come home and sleep before my distance class.  The things that sound really good right now, donuts or a bowl of cereal, are off limits.  I went to something that was healthier.  I did toss a good chunk of butter into my veggies.

I’m off to sleep as soon as this class is dismissed.  Blah. I hope I feel better tomorrow and can be at work all day… I need the paycheck.

21DSD: Day 2

After I finished day one, I woke up with an email this morning saying this: “You may be feeling good, confident, “I got this!” “Why do people think this is hard?” “That office treat isn’t even calling my name!” ”
I giggled.  That’s precisely what I felt last night.

This morning, I woke up early to finish my midterm.  I hopped in the shower and then made 2 eggs and 1.5 slices of bacon, along with a cup of coffee with coconut milk for creamer.  This was much earlier than I normally eat breakfast.

While waiting for class to begin and because I ate 3 hours before, I had a snack of pistachios.  I wasn’t really sure if I was hungry or not, but I didn’t want to eat in class.

Lunch was a giant salad.  I was definitely hungry by the time I chose to eat lunch.  I was kind of putting it off because I didn’t want to be starving right at 5pm.

After work, I just felt tired. Eating dinner (Sausage in peppers) didn’t make me feel any more awake, but I have to power through class this evening.

I also made Tangy Applesauce – a recipe from my 21DSD program book.  I used too much lemon, it’s crazy over-powerful.

I plan on going to sleep early again tonight, just after class.

There were a few instances that I craved something sweet today.  It was mostly when I saw the temptations.  There is a jar of candy on my kitchen counter that I need to hide, because I almost couldn’t resist grabbing a piece of chocolate.

My girl scout cookies come in tomorrow and I intend on just giving them to the students that come into my office.  While I love Thin Mints, this year, I plan to just get rid of them so they aren’t another temptation.

I may have a cup of tea or a glass of “hot cocoa” tonight, but aside from that I am done consuming things.
